     "markdown": "أسكن إبراهيم هاجر وولدها بواد غير ذي زرع عند بيت الله المحرم الذي لم يكن إذ ذاك إلا مرتفعاً من الأرض كالرابية تأتيه السيول فتأخذ عن يمينه وشماله {cite:sahih-al-bukhari}. وفي رحلته الثالثة بنى هو وإسماعيل الكعبة ورفعا قواعدها {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq}.\n\nولي إسماعيل زعامة مكة وولاية البيت طول حياته، ثم انتقلت إلى جرهم نحو عشرين قرناً، ثم إلى خزاعة ثلاثمائة سنة، ثم إلى قصي وقريش منذ نحو سنة 440م {cite:qalb-jazirat-al-arab}. وملأ المشركون المسجد الحرام بالأصنام، فلما فتح النبي مكة وجد حول البيت ثلاثمائة وستين صنماً فأمر بها فأُخرجت وحُرقت {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq}."

     "markdown": "Abraham settled Hagar and her child in a valley without cultivation at God's Sacred House — which then was but a rise in the ground like a hillock, the floods coming to it and washing past its right and left {cite:sahih-al-bukhari}. On his third journey he and Isma'il built the Ka'ba and raised its foundations {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq}.\n\nIsma'il held Mecca's leadership and the House's charge all his life; then it passed to Jurhum for some twenty centuries, then to Khuza'a for three hundred years, then to Qusayy and Quraysh from about 440 CE {cite:qalb-jazirat-al-arab}. The polytheists filled the Sacred Mosque with idols; when the Prophet conquered Mecca he found three hundred and sixty idols around the House and ordered them brought out and burned {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq}."
