     "markdown": "The Muslims besieged Sus, which was held by Shahriyar, brother of Hurmuzan, and skirmished with its defenders several times. The monks and priests looked down on them from the walls and said: \"Our scholars have handed down to us that Sus will not be opened except by the Dajjal, or by a people among whom is the Dajjal.\" Safi ibn Sayyad was with the horsemen of al-Nu'man; he came to the gate of Sus and struck it with his foot in anger, saying: \"Open, Bazhar!\" The chains snapped, the bolts broke, the gates opened, and the Muslims entered; the polytheists threw down their arms and called for terms.
