     "markdown": "al-Baladhuri, in \"Ansab al-Ashraf\", relates that Khalid ibn Ja'far al-Kilabi fought the Banu Abs, and with his companions killed their lord Zuhayr ibn Judhayma, and then sought protection with al-Nu'man. al-Harith ibn Zalim guaranteed Ghatafan that he would finish with Khalid, and he killed him at the court of al-Nu'man, and Ma'bad ibn Zurara gave him refuge. {cite:ansab-al-ashraf p. 40-41}\n\n[[person/al-ahwas-ibn-jafar|al-Ahwas ibn Ja'far]] went out with the Banu Amir against the Banu Darim, and they met at Rahrahan and fought.
