     "markdown": "A man of Abd al-Qays called Munqidh ibn Hayyan used to come to Medina for trade; he became Muslim, carried a letter from the Prophet to his people, and they became Muslim and came in delegation in a sacred month, thirteen or fourteen men {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq p. 445}. The delegation asked about faith and about drinks; their chief was al-Ashajj al-Asri, of whom the Prophet said: \"in you are two qualities God loves — forbearance and deliberateness\" {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq p. 445; sahih-muslim}. The second delegation came in the Year of Delegations, forty men among them al-Jarud ibn al-Ala al-Abdi, who had been a Christian, became Muslim and proved a good Muslim {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq p. 445}."
