     "markdown": "According to Ibn al-Athir, Ibn al-Mu'tazz was titled al-Murtada bi-llah, not al-Ghalib. He took charge of killing the vizier al-Husayn ibn Hamdan, Badr al-Mu'tadidi and Wasif on the way to his garden. Then al-Husayn rode to al-Shaṭiba to kill al-Muqtadir but did not find him.
