     "markdown": "خطب النبي يوم النحر حين ارتفع الضحى وهو على بغلة شهباء وعلي يعبر عنه والناس بين قائم وقاعد {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq ص461}. قال فيها: إن الزمان قد استدار كهيئته يوم خلق السماوات والأرض، السنة اثنا عشر شهراً منها أربعة حرم ثلاث متواليات ذو القعدة وذو الحجة والمحرم ورجب مضر {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq ص461؛ sahih-al-bukhari}. وسألهم: أي شهر هذا؟ أي بلد هذا؟ أي يوم هذا؟ حتى أجابوا: ذو الحجة، البلدة الحرام، يوم النحر، فقال: فإن دماءكم وأموالكم وأعراضكم عليكم حرام كحرمة يومكم هذا في بلدكم هذا في شهركم هذا {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq ص461-462؛ sahih-al-bukhari}. وحذرهم قائلاً: ستكونون تلقون ربكم فيسألكم عن أعمالكم، ألا فلا ترجعوا بعدي ضلالاً يضرب بعضكم رقاب بعض، ثم قال: اللهم اشهد، فليبلغ الشاهد الغائب فرب مبلغ أوعى من سامع {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq ص462}. وفي رواية أنه قال: ألا لا يجني جان إلا على نفسه، وإن الشيطان قد يئس أن يُعبد في بلدكم أبداً ولكن ستكون له طاعة فيما تحتقرون من أعمالكم {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq ص462}. وخطب أيضاً في بعض أيام التشريق كما روت سرّاء بنت نبهان أنه خطب يوم الرؤوس {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq ص462}."

     "markdown": "The Prophet preached on the Day of Sacrifice when the forenoon had risen, on a grey mule with Ali relaying for him, the people standing and sitting {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq p. 461}. In it he said: time has come full circle to the form it had the day God created the heavens and the earth — the year is twelve months, of which four are sacred: three consecutive, Dhu al-Qa'da, Dhu al-Hijja and Muharram, and Rajab of Mudar {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq p. 461; sahih-al-bukhari}. He asked them: what month is this? What town is this? What day is this? — until they answered: Dhu al-Hijja, the sacred town, the Day of Sacrifice. He said: your blood, your wealth and your honour are inviolable to you like the inviolability of this day, in this town, in this month {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq pp. 461-462; sahih-al-bukhari}. He warned them: you will meet your Lord and He will ask you about your deeds — so do not return after me as misguided people striking one another's necks; then: O God, bear witness — let the present tell the absent, for many a told one grasps more than a hearer {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq p. 462}. In one version he said: let no wrongdoer wrong any but himself; and that Satan has despaired of being worshipped in your land forever, but he will be obeyed in deeds of yours you count small {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq p. 462}. He also preached on one of the tashriq days, as Sarra' bint Nabhan relates — on the day of the heads {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq p. 462}."
