     "markdown": "سُمعت الطائف بإساءة النبي فيها قبل يثرب — رجمًا من العبيد وسفهاء — ثم شاركت في حنين مع حليفتها هوازن، وفي حصار الطائف طُلب منهم إسقاط اللات وكسر حرمها {cite:ibn-ishaq-guillaume}. وشهدت السنة نفسها وفدًا شهيرًا تفاوض فيه ثقيف على الصلاة المرفوضة «لا سجود» وعلى إبقاء اللات ثلاثًا — فأُجيبوا بالرفض، فسلّموا على شروط التصنّع {cite:ibn-sad-tabaqat-bewley}.\n\nوفي عهد الراشدين صار ثقفيو الطائف وزراء وقادة فتوح — منهم المغيرة بن شعبة وأسرة الحجاج {cite:watt-1956-medina}."
