     "markdown": "The chief judge Taj al-Din Abd al-Wahhab was born in the year 813. He was the son of the historian and scholar Shihab al-Din Ibn Arabshah, a Hanafi. At the start of his career he worked as a notary witness, and he became very skilled in that craft. He began poor but gained wealth and standing, and he composed a large book on Hanafi law {cite:shadharat-dhahab p. 421-422}.\n\nHe was appointed chief judge of Damascus in Rajab of the year 884, and he was removed from the post in Shawwal of the year 895. He then travelled to Egypt, where he was given the shaykhdom of the Sarghatmishiyya, and he held it until his death on the fifteenth of Rajab in the year 901 {cite:shadharat-dhahab p. 421-422}."
