     "markdown": "من ولد قيدار بن إسماعيل لم يزل أبناؤه بمكة يتناسلون حتى كان منهم عدنان وولده معد، ومنه حفظت العرب العدنانية أنسابها {cite:qalb-jazirat-al-arab}.\n\nورد أن النبي كان إذا انتسب فبلغ عدنان أمسك وقال: «كذب النسّابون»، فلا يتجاوزه {cite:tarikh-al-tabari}. وذهب جمع من العلماء إلى جواز رفع النسب فوقه مضعّفين للحديث، وقالوا إن بين عدنان وبين إبراهيم أربعون أباً بالتحقيق الدقيق {cite:rahma-lil-alamin}."

     "markdown": "Of the children of Qaydar ibn Isma'il, his sons kept begetting in Mecca until Adnan came of them and his son Ma'add; from him the Adnani Arabs preserved their genealogies {cite:qalb-jazirat-al-arab}.\n\nIt is reported that the Prophet, whenever his line was traced and reached Adnan, stopped and said: \"the genealogists lie\", never going past him {cite:tarikh-al-tabari}. A body of scholars held the lineage may be raised above him, deeming that hadith weak, saying there are forty fathers between Adnan and Ibrahim on careful reckoning {cite:rahma-lil-alamin}."
