     "markdown": "صارت السقاية والرفادة بعد هاشم إلى أخيه المطلب بن عبد مناف، وكان شريفاً مطاعاً ذا فضل في قومه تسميه قريش الفياض لسخائه {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq}.\n\nولما صار شيبة وصيفاً فوق المطلب سمع به فرحل في طلبه؛ أردفه على راحلته وقال لأمه: إنما يمضي إلى ملك أبيه وإلى حرم الله، فقدم به مكة مردفاً على بعيره فقال الناس: هذا عبد المطلب، فقال إنما هو ابن أخي هاشم {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq}.\n\nوهلك المطلب بردمان من أرض اليمن، فولي بعده عبد المطلب {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq}."

     "markdown": "The siqaya and rifada passed after Hashim to his brother al-Muttalib ibn Abd Manaf, an obeyed nobleman of merit among his people whom Quraysh called al-Fayyad (\"the overflowing\") for his generosity {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq}.\n\nWhen Shayba grew to be a young man in Yathrib, al-Muttalib heard of him and journeyed in search of him; he mounted him behind him on his mount and told his mother: he is only going to his father's kingdom and to God's sanctuary. He entered Mecca with him riding behind on his camel and people said: this is Abd al-Muttalib (\"al-Muttalib's servant\") — he answered: he is but my nephew Hashim's son {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq}.\n\nAl-Muttalib perished at Radman in the land of Yemen, and Abd al-Muttalib took over after him {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq}."
