     "markdown": "It is commonly said Hagar was a slave woman, but Judge Muhammad Sulayman al-Mansur Furi verified that she was free — daughter of Egypt's Pharaoh, whom Ibrahim's wife Sara gave him in service, and he married her {cite:rahma-lil-alamin}.\n\nIbrahim settled her with her suckling Isma'il in a barren valley by the Sacred House, set down beside them a skin of dates and a water-skin, and went back {cite:sahih-al-bukhari}.
