     "markdown": "El Fakiri began with the Oslo club Lyn, making his debut against Skeid on 28 May 1995; the Lyn supporters made him their player of the year in 1997. He joined Brann in 2000, and before he had played a league game for them he was sold to Monaco, whose scouts had spotted him; the English article records nine league games and three goals for Brann in that first spell.
