He emigrated from it to Harran, then to Palestine which he made the base of his call, and once came to Egypt {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq}.\n\nGod gave him, by [[person/hajar|Hagar]], [[person/ismail|Isma'il]], and revealed to him that he bring her and her child to Mecca, settling them in a barren valley by the place of the House {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq}. The sources preserve for him four journeys to Mecca: the journey of settlement, the journey of the sacrifice, the two journeys of testing the wives, and the journey of raising the foundations {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq}."
