     "markdown": "After imprisoning al-Nu'man, Kisra appointed Iyas ibn Qubaysa al-Ta'i over al-Hira and ordered him to send to Hani' ibn Mas'ud demanding the handover of what was with him {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq}.\n\nWhen Hani' refused, Kisra's marzbans and battalions came in Iyas's host — hence the day of Dhi Qar in which the Persians were routed {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq}. Kisra then appointed a Persian governor over al-Hira {cite:muhadarat-tarikh-al-umam-al-islamiyya}. The Prophet was born in the eighth month of Iyas's rule over al-Hira {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq}."
