He excelled in fiqh, usul, grammar, exegesis, rhetoric and eloquence, gave fatwas, taught, and served as judge. His works include glosses on al-Rawda, unfinished notes on al-Minhaj, versified rules of fiqh, and notes on al-Hawi al-Saghir.
