Al-Baladhuri relates that he asked [[person/aisha|Aisha]] to write for him to Ziyad and to begin with his name in the heading of her letter, and she wrote to him and addressed the letter to Ziyad ibn Abi Sufyan. {cite:futuh-buldan-maarif-1407}\n\nAl-Baladhuri says that Ziyad was pleased by this, honoured Murra, and displayed the letter to the people so they could read its heading.
