This is Ibn al-Athir's judgement, not the museum's {cite:kamil-ibn-al-athir p.105}.\n\nIn 577 AH he resolved to march overland to Tayma and then to Medina, but Izz al-Din Farrukhshah, the deputy of Damascus, outwitted him until his ambition was cut off {cite:kamil-ibn-al-athir p.105}. In 578 AH he carried a dismantled fleet from al-Karak to the Sea of Aqaba. One group went to Aqaba and another to Aydhab to raid the coasts. The fleet of Egypt, led by Husam al-Din Lu'lu' the chamberlain, caught them and destroyed them {cite:kamil-ibn-al-athir p.117-118}."
