Ibn al-Nadim read, in the handwriting of Ibn al-Jahm, that the book \"al-Madkhal\" was by Sanad ibn Ali, and that he gave it to Abu Ma'shar, who then claimed it as his own {cite:fihrist-ibn-al-nadim p.384-385}.\n\nIbn al-Nadim also attributes to him \"al-Tis' al-Maqalat fi al-Mawalid\" (The Nine Treatises on Nativities) and a book on conjunctions.
