     "markdown": "Of the [[group/banu-khatma|Banu Khatma]] of the Aws. According to Ibn Ishaq, he was the first of them to embrace Islam, \"the one called the Reciter\" {cite:ibn-hisham-saqqa 4/287}. He was with the Prophet when the Prophet said: \"Will no one take for me the daughter of Marwan?\" When it was evening he went secretly to [[person/asma-bint-marwan|Asma' bint Marwan]] in her house and killed her. He informed the Prophet, who said to him: \"You have helped God and His Messenger, O Umayr. Her affair is one on which two goats will not butt heads\" {cite:ibn-hisham-saqqa 4/286}. He then returned to his people, who were in turmoil about her affair, and she had five sons. He said: \"I have killed the daughter of Marwan, so scheme against me all together and do not delay me.\" That day was the first day Islam was strengthened in the house of the Banu Khatma, and men of them embraced Islam.
