     "markdown": "يروي ابن إسحاق في «المغازي» عن الزهري وعبد الله بن أبي بكر بن حزم أنها هاجرت عام [[event/treaty-of-hudaybiyya|الحديبية]]، فجاء أخواها يطلبانها فأبى النبي أن يردها إليهما {cite:ibn-hajar-isaba p.2033}.\n\nويقول ابن سعد إنها أول من هاجر إلى المدينة بعد هجرة النبي، وإنه لا يعلم قرشية خرجت من بين أبويها مهاجرة إلى الله ورسوله إلا أم كلثوم، خرجت من مكة وحدها وصاحبت رجلاً من خزاعة حتى قدمت في الهدنة. فخرج في أثرها أخواها فقدما ثاني يوم قدومها وقالا: «يا محمد، شرطنا أوف به»، فقالت: «يا رسول الله، أنا امرأة وحال النساء إلى الضعف، فأخشى أن يفتنوني في ديني». وفي رواية ابن سعد أن الله نقض العهد في النساء وأنزل آية الامتحان، فامتحنها النبي والنساء بعدها: «ما أخرجكن إلا حب الله ورسوله والإسلام، لا حب زوج ولا مال»، فإذا قلن ذلك لم يُردَدن {cite:ibn-hajar-isaba p.2033}."

     "markdown": "Ibn Ishaq relates in the Maghazi from al-Zuhri and Abdullah ibn Abi Bakr ibn Hazm that she emigrated in the year of [[event/treaty-of-hudaybiyya|al-Hudaybiyya]]; her brothers came seeking her and the Prophet refused to return her to them {cite:ibn-hajar-isaba p. 2033}.\n\nIbn Sa'd says she was the first to emigrate to Medina after the Prophet's emigration — he knows of no Quraysh woman who left her two parents emigrating to God and His messenger but Umm Kulthum: she left Mecca alone and accompanied a man of Khuza'a until she arrived in the truce. Her brothers set out after her and arrived the second day of her arrival, saying: \"Muhammad — our pact, honour it\" — she said: \"Messenger of God, I am a woman and women's lot is weakness; I fear they will tempt me in my religion.\" In Ibn Sa'd's account, God annulled the treaty in the case of the women and sent down the verse of examination; the Prophet examined her and the women after her: \"nothing brought you out but love of God and His messenger and Islam — not love of a husband or wealth\" — and when they said that, they were not returned {cite:ibn-hajar-isaba p. 2033}."
