     "markdown": "al-Mas'udi reports that Ja'far told him to return to al-Rashid and tell him that he had carried out what he was ordered. If he regretted it, his life would be at the hands of a slave-girl. Yasir took him captive to the tent of al-Rashid. When he heard him say, \"Bring him to me, or I will kill you before him\", he blindfolded Ja'far and struck off his neck {cite:muruj-al-dhahab p. 364-366}.\n\nThen al-Rashid ordered Yasir's own neck struck, and said that he could not bear to look at the killer of Ja'far {cite:muruj-al-dhahab p. 364-366}."
