Remembrance of God (dhikr)
A grown-up reads you the short text; the longer one you read yourself.
Ibn Rajab treats dhikr in the fiftieth hadith, the cap of his additions to the Forty, as the all-gathering gate to hold to when the laws grew many. The hadith's text: 'let your tongue stay moist with the remembrance of God', and in Mu'adh's hadith 'that you die with your tongue moist from God's remembrance'. He says many of remembrance's merits came scattered through the book and he here gives the merit of keeping it up and doing it much, citing the verses commanding much remembrance and praising the men and women who remember with forgiveness and a great wage.
