Divine forgiveness (maghfira)
A grown-up reads you the short text; the longer one you read yourself.
Maghfira in the forty-second hadith, last of al-Nawawi's Forty — among the broadest of God's promises to His servants: God forgives whoever calls on Him and hopes in Him, whatever he has been. Ibn Rajab draws three causes by which forgiveness is won: supplication with hope, asking forgiveness, and meeting God without shirk; and it is part of the gate of repentance.
