Kinda

A grown-up reads you the short text; the longer one you read yourself.

Kinda, a Yemenite tribe of Kahlan's clans; they settled Bahrayn then Hadramawt then Najd and built a great government that soon perished — Ibn Ishaq says 'Kinda were kings'.

Kinda, a Yemenite tribe of Kahlan's clans, the fourth of Kahlan's migrating sections in the Raheeq: they settled Bahrayn, were forced to leave, settled Hadramawt and suffered as they had there, then settled Najd and built a great government that soon perished leaving no trace. When Qubadh ibn Fayruz, king of Hira, called al-Mundhir ibn Ma' al-Sama' to the Mazdaki creed and he refused, he deposed him and installed al-Harith ibn Amr al-Kindi; then Kisra restored al-Mundhir and sought al-Harith, who escaped to the lands of Kalb and died among them. Al-Ash'ath ibn Qays came in Kinda's delegation — eighty riders in Hira cloaks edged with silk, per al-Zuhri — and they entered Islam; al-Ash'ath claimed descent from Akil al-Murar and the Prophet ﷺ answered 'rather we are Banu al-Nadr ibn Kinana'; Ibn Ishaq says 'Kinda were kings'. And Farwa ibn Musayk came to the Prophet parting from Kinda's kings.
