al-Aqra' ibn Habis al-Tamimi
A grown-up reads you the short text; the longer one you read yourself.
Al-Aqra' ibn Habis, chief of Banu Tamim in the Jahiliyya and one of the Arabs' arbitrators; he entered Islam after the conquest of Mecca and the Prophet ﷺ gave him a hundred camels of the Hunayn spoils at al-Ji'rana in the reconciled-hearts share — to win his heart and seek the Islam of Tamim's great tribes in Najd. His Islam proved good: he held firm in the Ridda wars with Khalid ibn al-Walid (may God be pleased with him) and marched in the openings until he fell in the lands of Jawzjan in Khurasan under Uthman's caliphate.
