A grown-up reads you the short text; the longer one you read yourself.
Khalid ibn Sa'id ibn al-As, a Companion of Banu Abd Shams. Ibn Ishaq counts him among those the Negus carried on the two ships, with his wife Umayma bint Khallaf — or Humayna in one telling — and his sons Sa'id and Umma, born in Abyssinia. When the Prophet ﷺ appointed Farwa ibn Musayk over Murad, Zubayd and Madhhij, he sent Khalid with him for the sadaqa, and he stayed with him in his land until the Prophet died. He fell at Marj al-Saffar in Syria in Abu Bakr's caliphate; his father Sa'id ibn al-As perished at al-Zariba near Taif, and his brother Aban ibn Sa'id addressed Khalid and Umar in verse when they entered Islam, Khalid answering in verse.
