Summary

The movement of the Banu Zikrawayh was not extinguished by the execution of al-Husayn, the man with the beauty mark, in the year 291. In the year 293 news came that his brother had appeared at al-Dalya on the Euphrates road, and a band of Bedouins and brigands gathered to him. He called on the people of that district and fought its inhabitants until the army came out against him.

He then went to Tiberias. Its people refused to admit him, so he fought them until he entered; he killed most of the men and women who were in it and plundered it, then withdrew toward the desert region. It was among the most horrific Qarmatian actions in Syria, before the state uprooted them with the killing of Zikrawayh in the following year.
