Summary
In 681 AH envoys arrived from Ahmad ibn Hulagu, announcing that he had been established in the realm, with Baghdad as his seat in place of his brother Abaqa. He ordered the building of mosques and congregational mosques, and the restoration of the noble law as it had been in the time of the caliphs 1.
His envoys reached Syria and Egypt, among them Shaykh Qutb al-Din al-Shirazi 1.
