    Career

She uploaded her first video on 5 July 2011, under her earlier channel name Aysha Abdul, motivated in part by the lack of Black Muslim creators in beauty media. In interview she has described how difficult it was, as a Black creator, to be noticed by brands, and how creators speaking out has changed the industry. She moved to Los Angeles in 2019, received support from the YouTube Black Voices fund in 2021, and has launched an apparel collection, Happy Looks Good On You. 1 3
