    Overview

Hashim is a British street preacher and debater, and a co-host of the DawahWise YouTube channel with Mansur; the project's official website states that "DawahWise is a YouTube channel run by Mansur and Hashim, dedicated to providing education and addressing issues relevant to the Muslim community" through debates, live streams and informative videos. Every source the museum could check bills him by his first name alone, "Hashim", with no documented family name, so this record carries the name exactly as the sources use it and guesses no surname. 1 2

Hashim is known for his public debates at Speakers' Corner in London's Hyde Park with Christians, atheists, Jews and others, taking up subjects such as the deification of Jesus and correcting what he presents as common Christian misconceptions; his clips also circulate on other Speakers' Corner channels such as SC Dawah. 2

No Wikipedia article and no Wikidata item exist for him as of the check date (24 October 2026); this record therefore rests on the channel and the project's website, is deliberately short, attributes to him nothing those sources do not support, and records no birth date or place for him.

    Career and work

Hashim co-hosts the channel's "Demystifying Hinduism" dialogue series with Mansur and Mohammad, which has hosted Hindu academics and religious leaders, among them Dr Howard Resnick, alongside Muslim guests such as the historian Adnan Rashid; the series description states DawahWise's goal "to educate, inform and inspire you, so that you may be balanced and articulate in your interactions during interfaith discussions", and that building bridges and improving interfaith understanding is a common interest. 2

He appears in the channel's live Q&A streams in a panel with Mansur, Hakim, Yemeni, Ibn Hazm and Fawad. The founder's harvest recorded about 469,000 subscribers for the channel in October 2026, a platform figure that changes constantly, and the project's website links sister channels in several languages and a DawahWise Gold channel. 2 1

The project's website states its mission as empowering people with a deeper understanding of Islam, fostering meaningful conversations and exploring Islamic teachings and their application in daily life. 1

    Positions and criticism

This section should be read as a presentation of positions reported by the sources, not as a verdict of the museum on them.

Speakers' Corner debates are by nature adversarial and heated, and clips of Hashim's debates circulate under celebratory titles on fan channels, while DawahWise's own video descriptions publish the project's ground rules: it has never advocated or encouraged violence or illegal activity, completely disavows anyone who commits them, and expects its audience to obey the laws of their localities. In its live streams the channel stresses that the views of guests and callers are their own and do not necessarily reflect those of DawahWise. 2 1
