    Early life and formation

He was born Hassan Fereydoun at Sorkheh in Semnan province, began seminary studies there and at Qom, and later took a law degree at the University of Tehran and graduate degrees in Glasgow while already a figure of the revolutionary movement. The Persian article presents him as a politician and cleric who was the seventh president of the Islamic Republic. 1 2 3

    Career and presidency

Rouhani sat in the Majlis from 1980 to 2000, served as secretary of the Supreme National Security Council from 1989 to 2005, and was Iran's chief nuclear negotiator in 2003–2005. Elected president in 2013 and re-elected in 2017, his government concluded the 2015 nuclear agreement with the world powers; the Arabic article gives his presidency as running from 3 August 2013 to 3 August 2021. 1 4

    Religion

His faith is recorded as Shia Twelver, documented, under the museum's Shia-mapping rule, with the mapping stated. Two independent texts attest "Shia" of him personally: the English lead's statement that he served as a Shia mujtahid, and the Arabic lead's description of him as a Shia Islamic scholar. It is disclosed that the Arabic clause closely parallels the English lead, though differently worded and differently sourced; if the two editions are treated as one family the value falls to unknown. Neither text names a branch; the branch comes from the stated context — a mujtahid formed at the Qom hawza, the Arabic infobox's "Islam, Twelver Shia", and the English article's filing of him among Twelvers — while Wikidata carries Shia Islam in general only. 1 4 3
