Summary
Haytham Tamim is a Lebanese-born scholar based in London. His foundation's profile records that he studied in Damascus, became a senior lecturer in Islamic transactions and comparative jurisprudence at the Islamic University of Beirut, holds some of the highest ijazas in Qur'an, hadith and fiqh, and directs Shariah Solutions. 1
Utrujj Foundation and Dar Al-Fatwa
He founded the Utrujj Foundation in London — his own profile dates the founding to 2000, while other foundation materials give 2001 — and remains its main teacher. 1 The Lebanese Dar Al-Fatwa in the United Kingdom states that it was established by a group of scholars and students of knowledge led by him, and lists him as its chairman. 2
Positions and faith
Read this section as the report of the sources, not as a museum ruling.
No independent source names a school for him personally. His own foundation describes him as leader of the Lebanese Sunni community in the UK under Dar Al-Fatwa — a communal leadership role within his own organisational ecosystem — and no source attests a school for him, so no faith value is recorded. 1 2
