Summary
Mishari Sulayman Al-Kharraz is a Kuwaiti preacher born in 1985. He works as an imam and khatib at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in Kuwait, is a graduate of Kuwait University's College of Sharia, and chairs the board of the Mabarrat Al-Saada charity. 1
Career
Al-Kharraz became known through the lessons he gave at Kuwait's Grand Mosque, centred on savouring prayer; they drew wide attention, and the last session of the course was attended by 25,000 people at the Grand Mosque, a record attendance for religious seminars in Kuwait. 1
His YouTube channel publishes his series, sermons and lectures, and the descriptions of its uploads give his official accounts on Facebook, Telegram, Twitter and Instagram. 2
Works
The success of his lectures led MBC to present 'How to Savour Prayer?' as a special series, whose first part was shown in Ramadan on MBC1 to wide popular success, followed by a second series the next Ramadan. 1
He presented 'How to Deal with Allah' as a lecture in Kuwait attended by more than 35,000 men and women, described as the largest gathering for a lecture in Kuwait's history, and he has called that programme the most important he has presented in his life. 1
His other works include 'The Most Beautiful View in Your Life' (2012), 'How to Savour Your Worship' (2013), 'The Sweetest Journey' (2014) and its second part (2016), 'Turn Affliction into Giving' (2020), 'Comforting Words' (2020) and 'The Most Beautiful Supplication' (2021). 1
Positions and criticism
This section sets out what the sources report; it is not a verdict by the museum.
The sources consulted report no doctrinal or legal controversy around him; his public presence is exhortatory lessons on worship and on dealing with Allah. The Arabic Wikipedia infobox gives his religion simply as 'Muslim', with no school named, and the article's category 'Kuwaiti Sunni religious scholars' is a Wikipedia editorial category, not an attestation by a source; so no school is recorded for him in the museum's data. 1
