Early life and formation
Teaching career
Amini taught at Nadwatul Ulama in Lucknow, served as principal of Darul Uloom Muiniya in Ajmer, and became professor and then dean of the Faculty of Theology at Aligarh Muslim University, retiring in 1986. He died at Aligarh on 21 January 1991.1
Works
Amini wrote some forty books in Urdu, among them a study of the jurist Muhammad ibn al-Hasan al-Shaybani and a study of Shah Waliullah Dehlavi.1
Affiliation
The English and Urdu articles call Amini a Sunni scholar in their text; the Hanafi school and the Maturidi creed appear only in the religious-biography infobox module shared by both editions, and the editions' categories file him among the Deobandis without any text naming the movement as his school.134
