Standing and death
Born in 106 AH, he was known for reliability, exactitude, worship, and scruple — Qurra b. Khalid said "Mu'tamir among us is not below Sulayman al-Taymi". He died in Safar of 187 AH, the day Rayyan al-Sulqi was killed, and people would say "today the servant of the people died and the worst of people was killed". 2
