This section sets out different positions as reported in the sources. It is not a verdict by the museum.

Ally is known for a contextual interpretation of Qur'anic verses, and for justifying them by similar expressions within the Christian Bible. 1 The article attributes to him the views that covering the hair is not mandatory for women in Islam, that stoning adulterers is not a part of Islam, that the classification of hadith by many traditional scholars and the idea of scholarly consensus (ijma) as a source of law are open to question, that celebrating Christmas and Halloween is not prohibited for Muslims, and that the theory of evolution is not incompatible with Islam; each view is sourced in the article to his own recorded answers. 1 The article notes that, despite his conservative upbringing, many of his views differ significantly from the traditional conservative mainstream. 1

    Books

His books include Is Jesus God? The Bible Says No! (1998), 101 Questions to Ask Visiting Jehovah's Witnesses (1997), 101 Clear Contradictions in the Bible (2001), Common Questions People Ask about Islam (2008), and Christianity Vs. Islam (2014), co-authored with James R. White. 1
