Summary
Shek Shamim Ahmed is a British Muslim video producer, the sole creator of the Islamic Guidance YouTube channel, which he started on 23 June 2008 and has produced single-handedly ever since. 1 The channel carries animated series on the past, present and future of Islam and passed 1.4 million subscribers. 2
The channel
Islamic Guidance is known for its long production values: short history series such as the Four Imams, the Ten Promised Paradise and an ongoing Seera series, animated and subtitled for a global audience. 2 In the fundraiser the channel itself links for one-off donations, Ahmed writes in the first person as its creator, noting that although he uses the word "we", the channel "has actually been a one man job". 1
Positions and faith
This section should be read as a presentation of what the sources give, not as a verdict of the museum.
No source consulted names a legal school or theological affiliation for Shek Shamim Ahmed personally. The only sources about him are the channel itself and his own fundraiser page for it; the channel's mainstream dawah presentation is not a school attestation, so no faith value is recorded for him. 2 1
