Summary
Muhammad Tim Humble is a Newcastle-based British teacher of hadith, dawah speaker and practitioner of ruqyah. He accepted Islam at the age of fourteen, applied to the Islamic University of Madinah during his first Hajj, and graduated from its Faculty of Hadith Studies in 2011 with ijaza in the six canonical books of hadith. He works with the dawah organisation IDC North East, in and around Newcastle, and founded the Humble Foundation. 1
Teaching and ruqyah
His recorded lectures and courses circulate widely, several hundred episodes of them carried by the Muslim Central podcast since 2017. 1 He is also known for administering ruqyah — treatment of afflictions through recitation and reported supplications — and in an interview with Muslim Ink he argued that ruqyah has become a means of exploitation for some practitioners, directing readers to his own self-ruqyah materials on his website. 2
Positions and faith
This section should be read as a presentation of what the sources give, not as a verdict of the museum.
Neither consulted source names a legal school or theological affiliation for him personally. His biography records where he studied and what he was certified in, and the university a man graduated from does not attest his own school, so no faith value is recorded for him. 1 2
