Summary

Abu Zakariya Yahya ibn Muslim al-'Abid heard Wahb ibn Jarir; Ibn Mukhallad transmitted from him, and he was reliable and ascetic. It is told that a young man who kept company with Bishr ibn al-Harith was asked where he lodged; he said, at Darb al-Baqar. Bishr said: how far you are from the dwelling of that worshipper Yahya ibn Muslim — convey my greeting to him. Yahya used to return his greeting with his hand; then one time he saw him and did not speak to him, so he turned to look — and there he stood, turned about, watching him. He died in Jumada II 263. 1
