Summary
The question
The questioner asked: is it permissible to say, for example, 'it was you who helped me with such-and-such after God'? 1
The answer
Ibn Baz answered that there is no harm in it: saying 'were it not for God and then you', 'this is from God and then from you', or 'you helped me after God with such-and-such' is unobjectionable. 1 He said that what is not permitted is to say 'were it not for God and you', 'this is from God and you', or 'what God wills and you', for it is this 'and' that is impermissible; but if one says 'were it not for God and then you', 'what God wills and then what so-and-so wills' because he helped him, or 'you helped me after God with such-and-such', there is no harm. 1
