Overview
Al-Malik al-'Adil Salamish, son of al-Zahir Baybars; they enthroned him on his brother al-Malik al-Sa'id's deposition, then removed him after three months and he lay obscure in Egypt — when al-Ashraf Khalil became sultan he took him, his brother al-Malik Khidr and their household and despatched them to Istanbul, land of the Ashkari, where he died at about twenty; handsome in face, slender of form, intelligent and shy. 1
