Overview

Musa ibn al-Hasan ibn 'Abbad, the muhaddith and Qur'an reader Abu'l-Sari al-Nasa'i then of Baghdad, nicknamed al-Jalajili for the beauty of his voice — al-Qa'nabi once advanced him to lead the tarawih and so delighted in it that he said "it is like the ringing of bells." He heard Rawh ibn 'Ubada, 'Abdallah ibn Bakr al-Sahmi, Abu Nu'aym and others, while Ibn al-Bakhtari, al-Najjad and Ibn Qani' narrated from him; al-Daraqutni said "no harm in him." He died in 287 AH. 2
