Summary
Nurdeen Muhammad Al-Ahdal, known as Sheikh Nurdeen "Kishki", is a Tanzanian preacher whom Africa Press's Tanzania service styles an "International Preacher of Islamic Religion".1 He began preaching in 1995 and carried his preaching from mosques to cassette tapes, VHS, VCD and DVD, and then online.1 His channel Kishki Online TV is his personal brand: it was the first Islamic channel of its kind in Tanzania to receive a YouTube cash prize and Silver Award, and it counted about 371,000 subscribers in November 2026.12 He leads the Al-Hikma Foundation, which organises an international Qur'an competition in Dar es Salaam, and in 2025 he earned a Master's degree in Da'wah from Al-Madinah International University in Malaysia.34
Beginnings and career
Africa Press quotes Sheikh Abdillahi Massawe that Kishki began preaching in 1995 in mosques that did not record lectures, then moved to cassette tapes, then VHS tapes, then VCDs and DVDs, and finally to an online television channel.1 According to vidIQ, his YouTube channel was created on 2 September 2017 and its channel country is Tanzania.2 The Africa Press report, for its part, states that his Islamic centre was established in March of "last year" relative to the report — about 2020 by the report's internal evidence; the two dates belong to two different things (the channel and the centre) and are related here separately, not fused.12
Programmes and work
Among the programmes on his channel named by the Africa Press report are Street Da'awa; Islam in the Old Books, in which he teaches the Qur'an, Bulugh al-Maram and Riyadh as-Salihin; and Fadhakir, aired every Friday at 2:30 p.m.1 The same report states that he has visited more than fifteen countries preaching Islam.1 In August 2024 he made a da'wah tour of Kenya, from 15 to 25 August, and the tour announcement called him "a renowned international speaker from Tanzania".5
Projects and initiatives
Kishki leads the Al-Hikma Foundation: on 24 March 2024 the International Quran Competition was held at Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar es Salaam, organised by the foundation under his leadership; a participant from Ivory Coast won, and the event drew extensive live national media coverage.3 In January 2025 Al-Haajar TV presented him with a commemorative plaque in Dar es Salaam, on 17 January, marking his Master's degree in Da'wah from Al-Madinah International University in Malaysia.4
Impact and audience
His channel counted 371,000 subscribers, and its 6,880 videos had been viewed 40,419,353 times, as vidIQ's statistics were updated on 4 November 2026.2 At the announcement of the Silver Award the subscribers had reached 120,000, and he thanked more than eight million viewers who had watched his channel.1 These figures remain dated platform counts, as read on their day, not facts the museum verifies.2
