    Summary

Toprak Razgatlıoğlu is a Turkish motorcycle racer, born in Alanya on 16 October 1996. 1 He won the Superbike World Championship in 2021 with Yamaha and in 2024 and 2025 with BMW — the first Turkish champion in the class — and moved to MotoGP with Prima Pramac Yamaha for 2026 as the first Turkish rider in that championship. 1

    Early life

Razgatlıoğlu was born in Alanya, the second son of the Turkish stunt motorcyclist Arif Razgatlıoğlu, known as "Tek Teker Arif" ("Wheelie Arif"). 1 His father, together with his girlfriend riding pillion, died in a motorcycle accident in Antalya on 17 November 2017. 1 He was trained and is managed by the former Supersport champion Kenan Sofuoğlu. 2

    Career

Razgatlıoğlu competed in the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup in 2013 and 2014, and won the European Superstock 600 Championship in 2015. 1 He entered the Superbike World Championship with Kawasaki in 2018, became a factory Yamaha rider in 2020, and won the 2021 title, ending Jonathan Rea's six-year reign. 1 With BMW he won the 2024 and 2025 championships, the manufacturer's first two titles in the class, and in 2024 set a record of thirteen consecutive race wins. 1 Announced in June 2025, his move to the Prima Pramac Yamaha MotoGP team for 2026 made him the first MotoGP rider from Turkey. 1

    Significance

Razgatlıoğlu is the most successful Turkish motorcycle racer in world championship racing, holding the most Superbike wins for both Yamaha and BMW, and is known for his 'stoppie' celebration. 1 The Turkish article describes him as a Muslim who performs his acts of worship and notes that he keeps away from the podium Prosecco spraying because drinking alcohol is forbidden in Islam; no source names a school for him, and his record names none. 2 3
