Summary
The question
The questioner asked which is better after rising from bowing: "Rabbana wa-laka l-hamd" or "Allahumma rabbana wa-laka l-hamd". 1
The answer
Ibn Baz answered that all of it is permitted, and that four wordings are reported: "Rabbana laka l-hamd", "Rabbana wa-laka l-hamd", "Allahumma rabbana laka l-hamd" and "Allahumma rabbana wa-laka l-hamd". 1 Using one at one time and another at another, he said, is all good. 1 He added that there is latitude here for the imam and for the one praying alone. 1
About this record
The answer is published on binbaz.org.sa, the official site of Ibn Baz's legacy, as fatwa 1245 in the al-Jami al-Kabir series. 1 The museum records this answer as a historical text attributed to its author; it issues no ruling of its own.
