Common origin of the message of the prophets

وحدة أصل الدين عند الرسل

Wajdi holds that Islam, in its social and creedal foundations, is not a new religion but the one revealed to Noah and the prophets after him, and that differences among religions come from the distortion of what was sent down 1. He also reads the trust of God's vicegerency on earth as open to any people who command right and forbid wrong, not limited to one race 2. This is the author's view and is attributed to him.

Overview

Muhammad Farid Wajdi holds Islam, in its social and credal roots, no new religion but the religion God revealed to Noah and the prophets after him; the religions' differences in their roots go back to their followers' alteration of what descended 1. He makes God's vicegerency on earth an open commission to every people that commands the right and forbids the wrong, not the preserve of one race 2. This is the author's own view, attributed to him.
