Summary

The One Minute Manager Meets the Monkey, a joint work by Kenneth Blanchard and William Oncken on the delegation theory known as the monkey laws 1.

Its publication story as al-Suwaidan tells it

Al-Suwaidan says Oncken published the idea as an article in the Harvard Business Review, then turned it into a book that every publisher rejected; he applied the rule 'if you cannot succeed alone, attach yourself to someone successful' and went to Blanchard of The One Minute Manager, who wrote a three-page foreword stating that he had written nothing else of the book; it was issued under both names, spread, made its real author famous and was turned into a film 2 3 4. Its content is the 'monkey laws': the monkey is the next step in any work; see The monkey laws and delegation 5.
