ابو الوفاء الماراغی، ازہر شریف کے بڑے علما میں سے اور مجمع البحوث الاسلامیہ کے سابق معاون امین ¹؛ 1401ھ / 1981ء میں وفات پائی جیسا کہ کتاب کا غلاف بتاتا ہے ²؛ ان کی کتابوں میں «من قضایا العمل والمال فی الاسلام» ہے جو مجمع کی علمی سلسلہ میں ہے — اور جس کتاب پر یہ اندراج قائم ہے۔ تاریخ وفات کو دوسرے مصداق کی ضرورت ہے۔
