Summary
Sha'rawi holds that a bequest is spoken at the end of life, when the one who makes it speaks truthfully, and that the bequest of Abraham and Jacob to their sons was the religion God had chosen. 1
Truth in the last hour
Sha'rawi says that in his final hours a person speaks the truth, deceiving neither himself nor others, because he is turning toward God. A bequest is therefore sincere counsel to one who is loved. 1
What God chose, not what the father chose
Do not die except in submission
Sha'rawi holds that the command not to die except in submission means not to leave submission for a moment, lest death come upon one who is otherwise. No one controls death, and God has hidden its time, place and cause. 2

These are Sha'rawi's views alone, from these pages. The jurists' rulings on bequests and their conditions, the academic view and other views are not yet entered.
