Summary
Da'if al-Jami' al-Saghir wa-Ziyadatuh (al-Fath al-Kabir) is the second part of al-Albani's grading of al-Fath al-Kabir, given over to what he judges unusable as proof — weak, very weak and fabricated — the first part being Sahih al-Jami' al-Saghir wa-Ziyadatuh. 3 It is published by al-Maktab al-Islami. 1
Count and printing
The publisher Zuhayr al-Shawish gives a provisional count of 6,479 hadiths, 1,075 of them from the Ziyada. 2 In the new edition he kept al-Albani's introduction only at the head of Sahih al-Jami' and referred to it in Da'if al-Jami', since it would otherwise be repeated. 4 In the introduction to the Sahih, al-Albani refers to Da'if al-Jami' by number for his examples of hadiths in al-Jami' al-Saghir that he judges weak. 5
